I am new, very new. You could even call me green to the world of publishing. Global Traveler is my first introduction to the world of publishing, and so far I love it. This is the beginning of my third week here at the magazine as the account executive for the western region. Although I have been in sales for a long time, I have never seen sales through the eyes of a publisher. It is the publisher’s ambition and duty to make long-lasting relationships with clients and to give our readers a chance to learn about everything the world of travel has to offer. Since day one at GT, I have seen, heard and learned so much about how a magazine functions and operates, from articles on destinations and reviews written from people around the globe to world-renowned companies requesting ad space. This world and industry is very new to me, but I can tell you that working at Global Traveler under such a professional and knowledgeable staff is a great beginning.
