Last week my friends and I participated in not one but three different trivia nights at various spots around Jacksonville. The first night we headed to Epping Forest, a private club of which one of my friends is a member, allowing us to enjoy a night of tasty food and good but challenging questions.

Speaking of challenging, I was glad to put my two cents in to the team when it came to the question: What is the deepest point of the Mariana Trench called? In case you don’t know: Challenger Deep.

From questions about NFL teams to literature, we ended up winning the entire thing, holding up a trophy for photos and reaping the rewards. If only our successes extended to the other two nights of trivia … .

The second trivia night was at a pizzeria/bar. Despite getting many questions right, this night was particularly competitive and we emerged in sixth place. While we didn’t win this one, we are determined to return again, as this spot offers great food and drinks alongside a neat interior with good vibes. In fact, my sister and I did this same trivia a few months ago and won!

Our last night of trivia last week was at a local restaurant and bar I had never been to. Hosted by the same couple who run the trivia at the pizza venue, these questions started deceivingly easy before getting hard, fast. Of course, our loss went down better as I ate the amazing banana pudding.
