Last weekend, for a friend’s birthday, a group of us went to Topgolf in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. We have wanted to go for a while now, so it was the perfect excuse. Since it was a bit of a drive from our home base in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, my friend’s parents got us a party bus so we didn’t have to worry about driving or figuring out the carpool situation!

The party bus was fun; we blasted some of our favorite music and got excited and pumped up for Topgolf. Once we got to Topgolf, they were waiting for us, and our bays were ready!

There were six people to a bay and each person got about 20 balls to hit per game, and you could play multiple games within your two-hour timespan. When it was your turn, you could choose basically whatever club you wanted to use.

While we were there, we had a bunch of delicious food and drinks and got to enjoy each other’s company. It was interesting to see who was good and who wasn’t — to my surprise, I wasn’t half bad.

Even though it is nerve-wracking going to a public place during the pandemic, I felt comfortable at Topgolf. Each bay was separated from the other with a plastic covering, and you had to wear a mask.

Our time there went by so fast, I wish we could have been there longer! It was a nice little break from the world and everything going on. I can’t wait to go back!
