It’s time to mix it up! The Tokyo Treat Summer Box has arrived.

Since I haven’t made my way to Japan yet, I decided to give the #TokyoTreat box a try so I can at least enjoy the culture through fun snacks. The summer box is a true representation of Japanese pop culture.

As I enjoyed eating my way through the box, I enjoyed reading about some of the unique hotel stays in Tokyo. Godzilla-themed hotel anyone? I definitely have Capsule Hotel on my list to try at least one night. I think Henn na Hotel, fully staffed with “friendly and professional robot staff,” sounds interesting!

This season’s box featured a solid variety of goodies, from savory to sweet. So, what’s in the summer box? Feel free to skip to the unboxing video below!

• Koikaya Ume Chips: The unexpected champion for my palette, crisp and light chips had a lightly pickled flavor. As a connoisseur of chips, this is by far my favorite.
• Monjayaki Squid Chips: Surprisingly yummy! As you may recall, squid-flavored things always cause me to stop a minute, but I actually enjoyed these.
• Chee-Zack: Such light cheesy wafer.
• Pai no Mi Mini Pies – Peach Tart: The perfect puffy dessert filled with a light peach-flavored white cholate cream.
• Mini Gummies: Have you noticed how gummies have different textures in different counties? These had such vibrant fruit flavors.
• Melon Cream Soda: I recommend you put this in the fridge and enjoy it once it is super cold. Otherwise, it won’t be the same experience.
• KitKat – Milk Tea flavor: If you enjoy milk tea boba, you’ll enjoy this flavor.
• Tokyo Shoyu Ramen: Sid got into this while I was away but if you enjoy a quick homemade version of ramen, you’ll enjoy this!
• Hello Kitty Candy Mints: I still have some lying around the house, definitely going to go to my local Japanese grocery store.
• Castella Donut: I ate this so fast with a cup of coffee. The “mildly sweet and cake-style donut.”
• Pokemon Chocolate Marshmallow: Okay,  well, this is a super cute presentation of such a playful, light chocolate-cream-filled treat.
• Neko Banana Dorayaki: A very unique treat filled with banana-flavored cream.
• Mini Choco Chip Cookies: So crisp and the right amount of cholate-ly goodness.
• Jumbo DIY Sauce Senbei: There’s a BBQ sauce that came with these I did not expect.
