The Conrad Brussels, the historic property, has been rebranded the Steigenberger Grandhotel. I am looking forward to staying at the property in early October and reviewing the changes for our Global Traveler readers. This is part of Steigenberger’s expansion plans; they currently have 81 hotels located all over Germany and Austria and some in Switzerland, the Netherlands and Egypt.
For those not familiar with the property, it is located on Avenue Louise and is known for its high-end restaurants and boutiques. The hotel is one of the grand dames of the industry and has been known for its fine service and amenities.
There are 267 guestrooms and Superior suites. The renovation of rooms will continue under the Steigenberger flag through 2016. It is my understanding the property has some of the largest rooms in Brussels, and the smallest is over 483 square feet!
HHonor members are drying their tears over the loss of this property, which was a favorite.
