Thanks to the algorithms of social media, Traveling with Kristin appeared on my feed. Upon checking on it, I learned Traveling with Kristin is digital nomad Kristin Wilson’s platform.

Having grandparents who worked for Pan Am Airlines, Stewart developed a passion for travel in her youth. Not content with a standard job, she decided she could work anywhere while continuing her travels. In 2011 she launched Traveling with Kristin to help others do the same. Filled with confidence, Wilson had no hesitation she could help others, even those much older and more experienced.

Seeing there is an unlimited amount of conversation topics, she started her podcast in 2018. With more than 500 episodes, Wilson covers moving or retiring abroad, living a nomadic lifestyle and other related topics. Two recent episodes were especially interesting. Each episode was targeted to supporters of one of the presidential candidates. Staying apolitical, Wilson analyzed many factors in determining possible destinations. These episodes were so good, supporters from both sides would agree.

That is the type of research and effort Wilson puts into every aspect of her platform. Having visited 60 countries and studied many more, Wilson does not offer fluff advice.

Continuing her effort to help others, she released Digital Nomads for Dummies in 2022. While I have no intention of relocating permanently, I found many useful points in her book. Even one isn’t a digital nomad, her thoughts can be applied to general lifestyles.
