The GT staff has just returned from a four-day whirlwind of networking and partying in Denver for the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) convention. This was my first time at GBTA, and I found it to be a successful event. It’s always great to see my clients in addition to the latest and greatest in the business travel arena.

We kicked off the convention at the Denver Broncos’ Mile High Stadium for an opening celebration. They had endless amounts of food, beverages and interactive games. The live music was pretty great, too.

Our staff stayed at Nativ Hotel, a hip boutique property located in Denver’s trendy LoDo district and very centrally located for business and leisure activities. We also hosted our party for the Trazee Travel award winners on Tuesday evening. I found Nativ Hotel to be a perfect match in celebrating our millennial publication. The venue is chic and spacious, and the food spread was beyond our expectations. All of our guests were raving about the delicious food, “One of the best event food spreads they’ve ever had!” The Trazee Travel awards ceremony was a success, and fun was had by all.

Denver is one of my favorite cities in the U.S., and I have a lot of good friends who live there. It was nice to have some time to see a handful of them during this trip. Experiencing Union Station for the first time was definitely a highlight, although getting stranded on the side of the highway after my Uber driver’s transmission blew out on the way to airport was definitely NOT a highlight of the trip! But I suppose that’s just par for the course for any global traveler.

Happy to be back at sea level now in Cali, where there are no altitude side effects.
