My business meetings in Singapore started last Monday, but I arrived in Singapore Friday in the late afternoon. I was happy to have the weekend in Singapore to explore a bit more of what the city has to offer; last time I was there, my schedule was jam-packed with meetings and little downtime.

I took a short taxi ride to the newly renovated Pan Pacific Singapore Hotel. The hotel was shut down for months undergoing a full renovation, and I was looking forward to seeing what they have to offer. As I was staying on the Pacific Club floor, I was quickly ushered to the 38th floor where I was checked in within 10 minutes and given a refreshing tea while waiting. I was booked in their Pacific Suite on the 34th and was surprised by the space and the view the room afforded. The entire space is very open, including the bathroom with moveable doors to adjust for privacy if needed. The closet space was huge, and the bathtub was even bigger. The living room space had a couch for comfort and faced a large desk area that included multiple universal plugs to fit my iPad, iPhone and laptop chargers all at the same time. The king-size bed was a bit firm but comfortable to sleep in. To top it off, the views were amazing, showcasing the Sands Hotel, Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay.

The Pacific Club amenities were by the far the best I have seen while traveling for business. The entire snack/drink bar was complimentary (excluding hard alcohol), the WiFi was free and did not even require users to log-in room numbers, and for each night of your stay you were allowed two items of clothing to be dry-cleaned on the house. This made my stay hassle-free, less expensive and created my loyalty.
