As I type this, thoughts of my imminent trip to Colorado are running through my head. No matter how many trips I take, lengthy or quick, far or near, I always run into the same problem: packing.
Even though I will be in Fort Collins for a few short days, I consider weather differences between Pennsylvania and Colorado. The forecast looks beautiful, so I feel confident about my clothing and layering options. Since I’m staying with a friend, I know I can rely on her in case I forget something simple.
I do not have a set of packing tricks some seasoned travelers implement, though I follow some space- and time-saving habits every time I fly. My TSA-approved toiletries go in a plastic bag at the top of my carry-on. I wear easily removable shoes to go through security. Luckily, my iPhone saves me from packing a camera and iPod.
