My last BlackBerry had an unfortunate spill during my last business trip. It got very wet, and thanks to the remedy of uncooked rice in a zip-lock bag, it almost made a full recovery. Alas, I still had to get a new one as it was slightly temperamental, and I need my phone operating at 100 percent.
I went to the Verizon store and looked at my options. With almost everyone around me on the iPhone, it was tempting, but business is still my main priority on the phone. The physical keyboard on the new BlackBerry Bold and touch screen capabilities won me over.
Two weeks into my new phone and I couldn’t be happier. The camera is fantastic (better than the iPhone, I’m told), Internet is much improved on the touch screen, and the regular keyboard keeps me typing quickly and efficiently.
To all the RIM naysayers, check out the new Bold. It is a premium-quality phone, and to me still the best choice for international travelers.
