We recently celebrated the sixth annual Leisure Lifestyle Awards in Los Angeles (one week ago, to be exact!) and honored the winners with a rooftop party at The Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. Between the six-piece band, vibrant dance performances and 1950s sailing theme, it’s safe to say the sixth year was a hit.
Once the winners walked away with their awards, a few colleagues and I spent the next day enjoying the city and our last night in California. We ventured to Santa Monica for the pop-up candy museum, Candytopia, and a walk along the Santa Monica pier.
It was an uncommonly cold and hazy day on the beach, but that didn’t hinder the view as we drove up the coast to Malibu with our local guides, Carly and Kaitlind. Being my first time anywhere in California other than Beverly Hills, I enjoyed the change of scenery and the rare free day with my West Coast-based colleagues. Until next time, LA LA Land!
