As you have read in previous blogs, the GT Tested Reader Survey awards were held in L.A. Dec 11. It was my second time in the United States and my first in L.A.; and since I’m based in Mexico City, I hadn’t had the honor to meet face-to-face with the entire GT crew until that trip, so it was exciting for me.
I decided to bring a little Mexican present, so I went to a famous art market in the center of Mexico City called La Ciudadela, located at the historical center.
It is really convenient to arrive early so you can see all of the stores and different items they have, from traditional Mexican puppets to Mexican silver jewelry and more.
It is a colorful place, where each of the stores have different items from different states of the country; you can find crafts from Oaxaca, Chiapas and more significant places in Mexico.
I decided to get my team a typical Day of the Dead colorful skull in different designs for each one of them, and I think they were a hit!
If you visit us in Mexico City, don’t forget to go to the La Ciudadela and return with gorgeous gifts for your loved ones.
