As I was getting ready this morning, I was watching Good Morning America. The weather report was not promising, with 29 states under severe heat advisories. We’ve been in the midst of a heat wave here in Pennsylvania for several days, with the heat index well over 100 degrees. Luckily, the air-conditioned office offers respite. Drink plenty of water and stay cool! To take your minds off the heat and humidity, I thought I’d share some information about The Dalmore, a famous Scotland whisky distillery, which is about to unveil a $1.6 million makeover. The new Dalmore Visitor Experience is reminiscent of the distillery’s 142-year history, but now features updated, modern amenities. Some renovations include LED lighting, hidden doors with secret entrances, burgundy and silver accents, velvet and leather fabrics, backlit frosted glass, a bottle display and a sparkling glass mosaic. Whenever I am visiting a destination, I always look to find a new — or renewed — site to visit and experience. The Dalmore is a perfect option for travelers visiting Inverness or Edinburgh.
