Haley Reinhart at Club Arcada Speakeasy

by John Wroblewski

Sep 24, 2025

If ever there was an artist perfectly suited for a venue, it is Haley Reinhart and Club Arcada Speakeasy. A self-admitted old soul of music, Reinhart fits perfectly with the vibe of the throwback to speakeasies of the early 20th century.Haley Reinhart

Housed in Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, about an hour west of Chicago, Club Arcada occupies much of the third floor. The night’s password (Zoot Suit Riot) allowed us to gain entry into a secret room filled with cool memorabilia. With its close seating of about 200, the venue is intimate, with great sightlines. Opened in 1926, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Combining history with modern conveniences, it is a magnificent structure.Haley Reinhart

Chicago-area native Reinhart rose to fame after appearing on American Idol in 2011. She comfortably moves through many eras of music, including her originals. She is equally capable of belting out a rocker and crooning a ballad. In my interview with Reinhart three years ago, she discussed feeling like an old soul.

Reinhart’s Chicago shows are always special, as the crowd is filled with family and friends. At this show, dad Harry and mom Patti joined her on stage for a couple numbers. Sister Angie, who has her own band, The Alright Maybes, has also joined in the fun on occasion.Haley Reinhart

Prior to the show, Reinhart held a meet-and-greet. Many of those attending were regulars I know from previous shows. Similarly, Reinhart knows Tony and me from other shows.

Tony’s wife joined us for her first Reinhart concert. A recent addition to the Haliens (Reinhart’s fan base), JoAnne enjoyed the show as much as Tony and me.

The menu, although somewhat limited, features wonderfully crafted options. The fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil flatbread was cooked to perfection. The gooey cheese worked well with the crisp flatbread. Tony and I always order the mini cannoli trio, featuring three crispy shells with a perfect ricotta filling. JoAnne opted for cheesecake.Haley Reinhart

The ambience, food, music and company made a wonderful evening. It really was perfect in every way.
