The 2014 Global Business Travel Association Convention is here! A mainstay in the GT yearly schedule, GBTA is a great place to catch up with many of our friends, especially those who office in different parts of the country or world than our corridor in the Northeast. It is taking place this year in Los Angeles. Our staff arrived Sunday morning from Philadelphia. For me, flying into Los Angeles International Airport is beginning to feel less like a vacation or business trip and more like coming home to a place I used to live, as I have been here so often over the last year. Home for the next few days is Universal City, a short cab ride from the downtown and a part of Los Angeles I have not had the chance to spend time in yet. After lunch at the hotel, my colleagues Danielle Pitonyak, Olivia Falcione and I took a stroll down the hill to Universal CityWalk, which is connected to the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park. It looks and feels like a smaller brother to the park and shopping district by the same name in Orlando. After a brief rest to catch up on emails, we headed out to LA Live for the opening reception Sunday night.
