In September 1994 Ross, Joey, Chandler, Rachel, Monica and Phoebe first appeared on television screens. For the next 10 years, Friends was a TV staple for millions as it became one of the most popular and successful shows of all time.

While we can still enjoy the Friends experience through syndication, the Friends Experience allows us to relive it in an entirely new way. Created by Superfly X, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Warner Bros. Television Group, the Friends Experience includes set recreations, original props, costumes, interactive moments, Central Perk and more.
The Friends Experience opened in Chicago last month. “The One in Chicago” is located downtown at The Shops at North Bridge on the Magnificent Mile and runs through Jan. 3.

It’s a fun, nostalgic romp through iconic sets and memorable scenes from Friends. The Friends Experience features 12 rooms with interactive exhibits, including Rachel and Monica’s purple door, their kitchen, their balcony and Chandler and Joey’s apartment. Also recreated are the fountain set from the iconic opening sequence; Central Perk, the group’s regular hangout; and the infamous couch pivot scene.

All appropriate safety measures are taken, including timed entries, distancing, mask enforcement and sanitizing stations. In a humorous touch, the hand sanitizers are labeled with a nod to Monica’s proclivity to cleanliness.
The Friends Experience gives back to the community. Complimentary tickets and a portion of ticket sales are donated to My Block, My Hood, My City, an organization providing underprivileged youth with new opportunities and experiences.
Admittedly, I wasn’t as big a fan of Friends as some of my friends, but I enjoyed immersing myself in the Friends Experience. It was a big slice of pop culture greatness.

Nov 15, 2025Master the Meandering County Louth Golf Club Along the Irish Sea
Those in the know refer simply to County Louth Golf Club as Baltray, but it can be quite confusing, as the tee marker logo reads “Baltray Links” and the scorecard logo says “County Louth Golf Club.” A rose by any other name, I guess? The location of the course proves prime for American golfers who collect courses they have played, like seashells on the beach. Baltray lies just 45 minutes from Dublin Airport and a mere 75 minutes from Belfast Airport ... maybe quicker if you have a heavy foot.
