I think we all are interested in trying to figure out the best way to get back to some sort of normalcy with our lives and travel.
I was driving back from the office Monday (I am the only one there with my two dogs since about March 15) when Paul McCartney’s Wings’ “Silly Love Songs” came on and I started singing with my two dogs (Ella and Beau) and changing the lyrics. Well, I was singing, and they were listening with their heads cocked.
I changed the lyrics to “I Love Travelin’” and continued to change the words as I went on, listing where I have been and where I want to go. It made me think of the recent eFlyer slideshows we have been sending out with #ComeBacktoTravel, as this is what we all want in the end.
As we fight through this, we need to look ahead and #ComeBacktoTravel, #ComeBacktoGT, #ComeBacktoTrazee and #ComeBacktoWhereverFamily!
Start planning and stop dreaming — the airlines have never been more flexible, and there are great deals. Status has been extended and top properties offer fantastic programs to get you back. Walks around the block are not the same as seeing the former Soviet Bloc, virtual cruises can never beat taking a family Christmas cruise, and watching the History Channel is not the same as coming face to face with places that created who we are.
So #ComeBacktoTravel!
