It’s been a busy two weeks of business travel, as last week I hit the road with Olivia Falcione, Rory Oldham and Rafie Iannello to meet with various clients to tell them more about what’s upcoming for Global Traveler and Trazee Travel in 2017, both on the editorial and advertising sides. Then, this week, the staff descended on Prince William and Manassas, Va., for our annual sales conference.

Although a whirlwind, there were many highlights along the way I’d like to share in this week’s blog. Miami was all about the views — those from the two-bedroom suite Olivia and I shared at Royal Palm South Beach.

Olivia and I stayed at one of the most well-known hotels in Dallas, overnighting at Rosewood Mansion at Turtle Creek. Apparently the property is famous for its gin and tonic; while I didn’t get to try one, it’s enough of a reason for me to return! Among the interesting aspects of the trip was the rental car Olivia and I ended up with after a series of mishaps.

In Los Angeles I enjoyed more views — first from my room at The London West Hollywood, then from dinner on the hotel’s rooftop at Boxwood Café. And lastly, from my parting views in Venice Beach, where Rafie and I enjoyed post-workday Rosé from the rooftop of Hotel Erwin.  

It all culminated in historic northern Virginia, where the staff converged to discuss all things FX Express Publications, Inc., and celebrate all our hard work! More to come on these events later.
