The Ascott Limited, operator of luxury-serviced apartments, announced plans to open its first residence in Saudi Arabia and properties in the city of Wuxi, near Shanghai in China’s Jiangsu province. All three residences are scheduled to open in 2015. Ascott Olaya Riyadh will be located approximately five minutes from the new King Abdullah Financial District in Saudi Arabia and will feature a mix of 230 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. The property will also include a business center, meeting rooms and a fitness center. Ascott Central Wuxi will be located in the Chong An District of the city and Somerset Wuxi will be situated in the Bin Hu District near Wuxi’s city center close to the Taihu Square Central Business District. Both Wuxi studios to suites, each including a fully-equipped kitchen and separate work and sleeping areas, and will offer a fitness center, meeting rooms and a business center. Ascott currently operates more than 8,600 apartment units in 48 properties across 19 cities.
