The Four Seasons Resort Encantado Santa Fe gears up to host a series of artist-in-residence programs with live demonstrations presented in collaboration with Tourism Santa Fe.

First up is contemporary American narrative artist Cheri O’Brien, in residence Nov. 16–18, displaying her whimsically rendered works with repeated motifs of dogs, flowers and religious iconography.

Artist Janet O’Neal will begin her stay, Dec. 14–16. O’Neal is known for a body of work that includes paintings, mixed media assemblages, photography and sculpture. New photographic work that forms part of her mixed media pieces is drawn from her travels to Israel, India and Jamaica.

Painter Roberta Parry is up next, in residence Jan. 4–6, 2019. Her work embodies color and light, including watercolors with a quality of transparency. Artist Sean Mary Helen Johnson joins the program Jan. 11–13, 2019. An artist, writer and photographer, Johnson explores themes of social justice, peace, ritual and reverence.

Known for her panoramic photographs, Irene Owsley will wrap up the residency program, Feb. 8–10. Her travel experience in extreme environments has taken her to Greenland, Iceland, Alaska and Arctic Canada. Her intense works detailing wilderness, geography, nature and adventure have been featured in numerous magazines, including Nikon World, Canoe & Kayak, Sierra and National Parks, and in publications for The Wilderness Society and The National Resources Defense Council.
