You can sleep (soundly) alongside sea life, thanks to new Aqua Villas at Pullman Maldives Maamutaa Resort. The Gaafu Alifu Atoll property’s new villas are each 1,216 square feet, with two bedrooms (one submerged underneath the ocean waters), with pristine views of the sea life and coral reef from floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests enjoy spectacular blue-hued views from the bed and a small bedroom seating area.
In addition to the submerged bedrooms, each villa offers its own private infinity pool, an above-the-water bedroom with ocean views and open-air bathrooms. Villas are situated toward the east for superb sunrise views.
Each villa is a short walk from resort restaurants, bars and pools, making dining, drinks and any desired leisure activities well within reach.
Aqua Villas are currently available for bookings, starting at $6,500 per night for two guests. Through Dec. 31, Pullman Maldives Maamutaa Resort offers a special opening deal, with complimentary return transfers included for guests staying in Aqua Villas for five or more nights.
The property is reachable via a 15-minute speedboat ride from Kooddoo Airport, accessed via a 55-minute domestic flight from Velana International Airport in Male, the Maldives’ primary airport.
