American Airlines provides customers more access to Europe with a new summer service, beginning May 4, 2018.
American will launch service to Budapest (BUD) and Prague (PRG) from Philadelphia (PHL), and to Venice (VCE) from Chicago (ORD).
“Summer travel to Europe is very popular,” said Vasu Raja, vice president, network and schedule planning, American. “These flights will conveniently connect customers from two very important hubs — Chicago and Philadelphia — to exciting markets across the Atlantic.”
Budapest and Prague are new destinations on American’s route map. The airline currently offers service to Venice from Philadelphia, and this summer it launched service to Amsterdam (AMS) and Rome (FCO) from Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), and to Barcelona (BCN) from Chicago. The airline and its joint business partners serve 23 destinations in Europe non-stop from the United States with more than 130 daily departures.
The 2018 summer services will run May 4–Oct. 27, 2018. Boeing 767-300 aircraft will service Philadelphia–Budapest and Philadelphia–Prague flights, while a Boeing 787-8 will service the Chicago–Venice flight.
