In today’s use-’em-or-lose-’em world of loyalty points and miles, there are times when it just makes sense to get away — anywhere your miles will take you. But it can be a painstaking process to find the right destination on the right dates for the right amount miles.
American AAdvantage is addressing that common conundrum with its new Award Map, allowing members to access a real-time map of available destinations based on the miles they’d like to redeem.
To use Award Map, members enter the number of miles they would like to use, the type of destination they would like to visit based on their interests, region and other search criteria including preferred dates, number of travelers and cabin preference. The Award Map calculates the factors and displays a list of matching award tickets.
“The intuitive layout and simple navigation of Award Map offers customers a robust, easy-to-use tool that makes searching for and booking award tickets much more convenient,” said Suzanne Rubin, president, AAdvantage Loyalty Program.
