AmaWaterways welcomes AmaSintra, the newest ship to its fleet. The new ship embarked on its inaugural voyage along the Douro River in Portugal on April 17, and marks the brand’s third luxury river cruise ship on the Douro.
AmaSintra carries just 102 guests across 51 staterooms, most of which boast an outside balcony and large floor-to-ceiling windows. Other amenities onboard include spacious public areas, a Sun Deck pool, fitness room and main restaurant serving regionally inspired cuisines alongside international favorites.
The ship joins sister ship AmaDouro and other Douro ship AmaVida, which sails the Flavors of Portugal & Spa itinerary between Porto and Vega Terrón. AmaSintra will sail on seven-night journeys exploring some of the most culturally rich and scenic regions of Portugal and Spain, allowing guests to visit vineyards, enjoy regional wine tastings, and experience cities like Porto and Salamanca. There’s also an optional three-night pre-cruise land program in Lisbon.
