Starting May 2026, Alaska Airlines will be the only airline to fly nonstop from the Pacific Northwest to Italy. The airline will operate service between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport aboard a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
Running four times weekly, flights will depart Seattle Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 6 p.m. and arrive in Rome at 1:45 p.m. the next day. Flights leave Rome Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 3:45 p.m. and land in Seattle at 6 p.m.
While Alaska Airlines has yet to reveal if the new route will operate year-round or seasonally, the route inevitably creates a more seamless link between the Pacific Northwest and one of Italy’s most iconic cities.
Reservations for these tickets open this fall.
