Free WiFi Reaches Honolulu Airport
After a long wait, the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (formerly Honolulu International Airport) in Hawai’i now offers passengers free unlimited WiFi throughout Terminals 1 and 2. Other airports in Hawai’i, including Kahului Airport, Hilo International Airport, Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole and Lihue Airport, should be getting free WiFi later this year as well.
Learn a Life-Saving Skill at OAK, Other Airports
Oakland International Airport joined the list of airports where passengers waiting for their flights can spend a few minutes learning to save a life.
In partnership with the American Heart Association, OAK now hosts two CPR training kiosks where travelers can take an easy five-minute course in Hands-Only CPR. The kiosks (Terminal 2, near Gate 27 and Terminal 1, near Gate 8) have touchscreens with a short video providing an overview of Hands-Only CPR and a mannequin or rubber torso for a follow-up practice session. After a 30-second test, feedback is given about the depth and rate of compressions, as well as proper hand placement, key factors that influence the effectiveness of CPR.
Other airports with Hands-Only CPR training kiosks include Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Orlando International Airport, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Indianapolis International Airport, Chicago O’Hare International Airport and several others.
