Air France’s long-haul business-class passengers will receive a new comfort kit made of 93 percent recycled material. The new kit, part of the airline’s eco-responsible approach, boasts the company’s historic winged seahorse emblem in two colors: navy blue and grey.
The kit’s contents have also been re-envisioned with eco-friendliness in mind. Items in the comfort kit include a toothbrush and pen made of cornstarch; and ear plugs packaged in kraft paper, which eliminates some plastic usage. The kit still features the popular soft sleep mask, socks, toothpaste and Clarins cosmetics.
The plastic packaging surrounding the kits is also gone, replaced with a tamper-evident seal. Headsets are also systematically cleaned and disinfected, which allows Air France to get rid of single-use headphone protectors and plastic packaging. All of these adaptions are in line with the airline’s goal of reducing the use of single-use plastic on board its flights whenever possible.
Long-haul premium-economy-class travelers receive a dark blue comfort kit with a sporty look, and featuring the swinged seahorse symbol in either red or blue.
