Air Canada opened its newest International Maple Leaf Lounge at Frankfurt Airport (FRA). Open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and located in Terminal 1, the lounge includes a business center; complimentary WiFi; a bistro-style dining area with hot and cold food and complimentary German and Canadian wines, beers and spirits; a shower area with large rain showerheads, ambient music and spa products; a quiet area with six reclining pods featuring personal TV screens, USB ports and Sony noise-canceling headsets; and a space with Canadian artwork. Eligible customers include passengers flying first class on departing Air Canada or Star Alliance flights, Star Alliance Gold members and Air Canada Altitude Super Elite 100K, Elite 75K and Elite 50K members. Air Canada currently operates up to five daily round-trip flights between Canada and Frankfurt and Star Alliance airlines offer 502 daily flights to 179 destinations from Frankfurt. The new lounge is Air Canada’s 21st Maple Leaf Lounge and the fourth to open in Europe, joining lounges in London (LHR) and Paris (CDG).
