AccorHotels is celebrating its 200th property in Greater China with the opening of its first Fairmont hotel in Western China.
The Fairmont Chengdu will be located in the “Hi-Tech Zone” of the Sichuan province capital, only 25 minutes from Shuangliu International Airport and close to the metro station, providing easy access to Tianfu Square.
Fairmont hotels are renowned for their ability to channel a destination’s unique culture, heritage and energy. The Fairmont Chendu’s lobby will feature a handmade Shu embroidery landscape Qianli Yanxia Jinshuitou, also known as Gorgeous Cloud and Waters in Distance. Four hotel restaurants will embody Western China’s culinary traditions, and 336 guestrooms and suites will offer stunning views of the Chengdu skyline.
The hotel will be the ideal destination for business travellers, with 11 meeting rooms and function spaces, as well as a 730-square-metre ballroom.
The luxury hotel will also feature a state-of-the-art fitness centre, an indoor pool and spa.
