The longstanding Armstrong Hotel was a centerpiece for Fort Collins, Colorado, since it opened in 1923. Last week, the hotel debuted after an extensive renovation.

The restoration started at the beginning of the year with a temporary closure. The renovation includes an expanded lobby, upgraded suites and a totally refreshed interior.

“The re-opening of The Armstrong Hotel is a significant moment, as it is one of three hotels that originally graced downtown Fort Collins and is the only one from that era still operating today,” said Aaron Black, general manager, The Armstrong Hotel. “Our vision with the restoration was to preserve The Armstrong’s historic legacy and eclectic, fun elements of the original hotel, while transforming the full experience to be consistent with today’s discerning traveler.“

The new Armstrong Hotel features a mix of earthy and jewel tones combined with industrial materials like woods and metals throughout. The hotel’s redesigned interior makes direct references to the hotel’s storied history thanks to the carefully curated art adorning the walls.

The hotel features Amara Massage Therapy and Wellness Spa, more than 1,000 square feet of meeting space and two dining options, including a coffee lounge.
