Kimpton announced a new hotel slated for Asheville, North Carolina. The property, set to open later in the year, takes over the former BB&T Bank building, the tallest structure in the city. It receives new life as a 128-guestroom hotel, accompanied by 54 residences, a restaurant and a cocktail bar.
The Kimpton Hotel Arras is named after the same region in France and embraces the Asheville arts community with local artwork throughout. On-site dining includes a Mediterranean restaurant and casual eatery. A private wine cellar is available for events.
Each guest enjoys floor-to-ceiling windows and spa-inspired bathrooms. Unique amenities include the hotel’s serenity cart, with books, lavender sachets and evening cordials by request; morning tea service; complimentary bikes; private tours of the hotel’s art collection; and a nightly social hour. The wellness center includes a massage room and yoga studio. The hotel is pet-friendly.
