A project of legendary Danish ballet dancer Alexander Kølpin, the new Sanders Hotel in Copenhagen is set to open in October in the city’s historic center. Kølpin, who owns the property, personally curated every detail of the décor, working with a theme based on the concept of “quiet luxury.” Polished woods and leathers, rich textiles and light-filled spaces offer a welcoming sense of home, with room amenities including kimonos, slippers, luxury toiletries and complimentary minibars.

Among the 54 rooms are coupé rooms with interiors inspired by luxury train travel. For longer stays, Sanders Apartments include a kitchenette and dining room, along with a separate den with an open fireplace, bathrooms with walk-in showers and a spacious bedroom with king-sized beds. Dining and lounge spaces include the Sanders Kitchen, the Living Room, the Courtyard and the TATA cocktail bar. Guest services include storage space, breakfast to go, fast track check-in and check-out, a variety of informal meeting areas, complimentary bicycles and currency exchange. Hotel staff can arrange for laundry, car hires, spa therapies and private, in-room yoga sessions.
