Eco-luxury brand 1 Hotels opened its doors in Brooklyn last week in the waterfront Dumbo neighborhood, marking the first luxury hotel opening in Dumbo, 1 Hotels’ third property and its first ground-up development property.

The new hotel is situated at Pier 1 on Brooklyn’s riverfront park, offering panoramic views of the East River, the Statue of Liberty, the Manhattan skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge. The property features 194 guestrooms, including 29 two- to six-bedroom suites and The Riverhouse, its presidential suite, with most rooms offering views of the East River.

Guests entering the hotel find a dramatic, 25-foot green wall, a two-story industrial spiral staircase and unique architectural and design features, all in keeping with the hotel’s sustainable mission. The hotel features a 4,000-square-foot rooftop, a nine-room spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a yoga and barre studio operated by POE Yoga, two restaurants, a 10^th-floor lounge, a 50-seat screening room and lobby cocktail service.

1 Hotels will open properties in Mexico, China and California by the end of 2019 with properties in Cabo San Luca,s Haitang Bay and Silicon Valley.
