The internationally acclaimed Stars of the White Nights Festival takes place every year in St. Petersburg, Russia. This beloved festival celebrates Russia’s artistic culture and tradition.
From May 26–July 27, St. Petersburg comes to life, welcoming the summer months ahead. The White Nights Festival began 24 years ago as a 10-day event and became immensely popular. Today, the three-month festival boasts world-class performances in opera and ballet.
The streets of St. Petersburg will be packed with tourists and locals celebrating with incredible art performances, films, live music and performances. There will be something to entertain every night and every attendee.
One of the most popular events is the Scarlet Sails. The tradition draws more than 3.5 million people to the streets to watch the gunpowder fireworks rain down around red-sailed ships.
The summer months come and go all too quickly in Russia, so the Russian Federation makes the best of the short season with the artful festival, now one of the top music festivals in the world.
