Daily

EVA Air is further developing its services to and from North America this year, increasing frequency on current routes and introducing new service to Chicago. Since launching its maiden flight to North America on Dec. 12, 1992, the continent has been an important market for the airline.

EVA Air now operates a total of 65 North American flights every week and will up the number to 77 by end of 2016. EVA adds seven brand-new Boeing 777-300ERs this year, which will service the enhanced and new North American routes.

EVA increases its flights between Taipei (TPE) and Houston (IAH) after only nine months of service. They recently bumped to six flights per week and will be daily before the end of 2016. The New York (JFK) to Taipei route will increase to 10 flights per week July 7 and to two trips per day by year-end. New service to Chicago (ORD) launches this fall.

Additionally, EVA Air serves Los Angeles (LAX) with three flights per day; San Francisco (SFO) with 14 weekly flights; Seattle (SEA) daily; and Toronto (YYZ) and Vancouver (YVR) with five weekly flights each.

EVA Air is member of Star Alliance, and operates a fleet of close to 70 Boeing and Airbus aircraft to more than 60 international destinations throughout Asia, Oceania, Europe and North America. With one stop in Taipei, EVA Air passengers can connect onward to most major Asian cities, including 29 in China.

High-Spirited Hong Kong: The Dynamic Hub Embraces Its Maritime History and Culture

It was known as the “Kai Tak heart attack” — the thrilling, terrifying final approach into Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Airport. The airport is long gone, but international visitors are arriving at Kai Tak again, albeit more sedately. Their cruise ships dock smoothly at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a modern gateway designed by Sir Norman Foster.
