Lufthansa will soon offer more German-language and international newspapers and magazines to passengers. In response to the trend of more people spending time on and carrying electronic devices, the airline is digitizing its range of in-flight newspapers and magazines.

Beginning today, Lufthansa travelers can log on to lh.com/eJournals within three days of departure using their name and reservation code to download two eJournals of their choosing to their mobile device.

Beginning in March, Lufthansa will offer guests different amounts of eJournal downloads depending on class of travel and frequent-flyer status. Additional digital magazines and newspapers can also be obtained at an additional fee.

PDF eJournals can be read after the flight as well. Lufthansa will continue to offer print editions of newspapers and magazines in lounges, in first- and business-class cabins and at select airports.

The electronic option has ecological benefits, and assists in the reduction of the aircraft’s weight, translating to fuel savings.

Lufthansa is one of the world’s largest airlines, serving 21 North American gateways and flying to 198 destinations in 77 countries, with hubs in Frankfurt and Munich.
