The Transportation Security Administration is searching for good homes for explosives-detection dogs who either did not complete training or retired from service. Dogs up for adoption range from two to 10 years old and include breeds like German shepherds and Labrador retrievers. All have either been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Prospective owners are not required to pay a fee to adopt a TSA canine but will have to travel to San Antonio to pick up their new pet. People interested in adopting can contact the TSA Adoption Coordinator via email at AdoptaTSAcanine@OLD.tsa.dhs.gov.
