Meliá Hotels International continues to expand in the Middle East with the opening of Meliá Doha, its first property in Qatar. Located in the city’s vibrant West Bay area approximately 10 minutes from Hamad International Airport, the 5-star property features 280 guestrooms and 37 suites.
“We are excited to enter the evolving Qatari market with the introduction of Meliá Doha, the country’s first 5-star Spanish hotel, located within the West Bay region,” said Gabriel Escarrer, vice chairman and CEO, Meliá Hotels International. “The Middle East is a key growth market for Meliá Hotels International and we anticipate significant interest from both the business and leisure markets as the region continues to evolve and grow.”
The hotel offers several diverse dining options, including Aceite Restaurant, serving Indian fine dining; Nidaaya All Day Dining, offering international cuisine with live cooking stations; RiQQa, a coffee shop and modern boutique; Noir, a cocktail bar; and Le Pool Club, offering a more casual option for snacks and drinks. Additional facilities include a health club with a cutting-edge gym and a pool.
