The Langham, Sydney recently closed its doors to undergo a $30 million refurbishment that aims to transform the property into the city’s most exclusive harborside address. The four-month renovation will redevelop the hotel’s lobby, dining areas, 96 guestrooms and residential-style ballroom with custom-made furnishings and treatments and add signature Langham luxuries such as a Chuan Spa and Palm Court. New features will include a floor made of Calacatta marble, a large central reception desk of gold-leaf-`cracked porcelain and Art Deco-inspired design in the lobby, an interactive kitchen at Kent Street Kitchen and an expanded ballroom with capacity for up to 250 guests. Palm Court will offer guests an exclusive Afternoon Tea experience as well as signature Langham cocktails. The hotel’s existing spa will transform into a Chuan Spa, offering facials, massages and body treatments as well as a health club, steam rooms and an indoor pool.
