Aqua Amazon, the first luxury vessel to become part of the Aqua Expeditions fleet five years ago, debuts its new look courtesy of an extensive overhaul — inside and out. Under the direction of Peruvian architect Jordi Puig, upgrades to the 130-foot craft include fresh, new furnishings throughout its 12 suites, updated shared spaces, the addition of soundproof flooring, enhanced air conditioning and splashy new bathrooms with slate walls and marble floors.
Plying the Amazon River in style, Aqua Amazon also affords guests culinary ecstasy with a fine-dining menu created by Executive Chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino and a wine list boasting selections from award-winning South American vintners. Additionally, new organic house wines include four from Chile and Argentina personally selected by Aqua Expeditions owner Francesco Galli Zugaro and specially bottled for the cruise line.
Gaze at the stars, sip fine wine; gaze at the stars… well, you get the idea.
