Costa Rica’s Peninsula Papagayo is set to welcome its first ultra-luxury resort: Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. The property is set to open early this year.
“Nekajui is tucked away in the most exquisite corner of beautiful Peninsula Papagayo, where the Ritz-Carlton Reserve’s unparalleled luxury, elevated privacy, and discreet service meet Guanacaste’s inspiring heritage and thoughtful community,” said Ana Gorjão Henriques, general manager, Nekajui. “We are excited to welcome guests to a journey that celebrates meaningful connections, uncommon beauty, and an exuberant sense of discovery.”
Nekajui will offer 107 ocean-facing rooms, suites and luxury treetop tents. The generously sized guestrooms will feature terraces or balconies, while suites are available in one- or two-bedroom configurations. Private residences, a 10-bedroom home and a four-bedroom villa are also available.
Dining experiences will include signature restaurant Puna, with its six-seat Japanese Peruvian Omakase adventure. There will also be a hidden speakeasy, artisan café and market, treetop bar and a beach club, alongside the 27,000-square-foot Nimbu Spa and Wellness.
Guests will also have access to Palmares Preserve, a 250-acre jungle surrounding the resort and offering exhilarating aerial adventures and other activities. Nearby, guests find an Arnold Palmer Signature golf course and more.
