I was like a kid in a candy store at Hershey Super Sweet Adventure. The attraction is much more than a candy store, though; it’s a fun indoor interactive experience.

Original X Productions and The Hershey Company debuted Hershey Super Sweet Adventure Friday at Chicago’s Water Tower Place. A celebration of the iconic candy brand, it is a hands-on, full sensory experience.

The adventure starts with a team of Sweet Seekers greeting guests. There are four zones for all to check, with QR code wristbands documenting your progress.

Once inside, you encounter a Twizzler’s maze, Reese’s Peanut Butter cannons, a Jolly Rancher scent station and more. You can also create your own digital Kiss wrapper, along with designing a Hershey’s candy wrapper that actually gets printed around a real chocolate bar.

Of course, the tour ends in a merchandise area. As expected, there are plenty of Hershey candy choices, but there are other unique items including colorful, fun socks; giant Twizzlers; and other novelties. I left with several treats for the ride home.

I love exhibits like this. Mostly aimed at children, there is plenty to entertain older folks, although I didn’t feel limber enough to navigate the Twizzler’s maze.
