Make a grand entrance to these equally grand hotels:

Seaplane to Bawah Reserve

Arrive to Indonesia’s Bawah Reserve on an amphibious plane. The resort sits on a group of six tropical islands in the Riau Archipelago, including a back-to-nature concept at its core. With only 36 suites and bungalows, the exclusivity here extends beyond the arrival. There’s also 13 beaches, three lagoons, 100 hectares of forest, six new cliffside lodges, a wellness center and an outdoor yoga pavilion.

Paraglide to Six Senses Zighy Bay

Talk about making an entrance! Paraglide into the resort from the top of Zighy Mountain with a professional paraglider taking guests around the mountain ranges. On the northern Musandam Peninsula in Oman, 82 village-style pool villas await, as well as a number of high-octane adventure experiences. Other on-site amenities include Cinema Paradiso, a mountaintop restaurant, Wine Tower, Wine Cellar and a spa.

Float of Mokoro to Xigera Safari Lodge

Accessible via a mokoro canoe, arrive to Xigera passing wildlife on the Okavango River. The land- and water-based lodge boasts 12 suites and the opportunity to explore the surrounding UNESCO World Heritage site. Xigera Lodge also immerses guests in African art and culture, making it the first gallery of its kind on the African continent.

Chopper in with 62°NORD

62°NORD is an experiential travel company that allows guests to Norway’s Sunnmøre region and its hotels to arrive via a helicopter through the surrounding mountains. Travelers can also opt to arrive via a boat trip through the dramatic fjords.

Relax, Rejuvenate and Heal at StolenTime

At the namesake luxury, 5-star all-inclusive resort in Saint Lucia, the concept of “stolen time” used to be reserved for couples escaping to canoodle, reconnect and perhaps rekindle in sumptuous accommodations during a romantic getaway on the lush Caribbean island. But when StolenTime by Rendezvous rebranded in late 2022 to welcome all adult guests and focus more on wellness, the philosophy expanded to encompass self-reflection, personal growth and enrichment. After all, time is our most precious commodity, one that’s finite and too quickly slips through our grasp; we need to find those moments that matter and make them count.

Hotel Nice Beau Rivage Review

In the city Henri Matisse once called home — and where Musée Matisse holds his largest collection — Hotel Beau Rivage has a special connection with the artist, who first visited the hotel in 1916 and painted famous sea views from his room 89 in 1917. Today, framed Matisse prints — many brightly colored cut-out collages from the artist’s JAZZ collection — decorate its walls. Hotel guests also benefit from a partnership with the museum.
