One of my bucket list items, especially as someone who has frequently traveled to several parts of Colorado, has been to attend both a live music event and a yoga class at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Unfortunately, my travel schedule never aligned, but I have full confidence I will get there one day! It turns out, I’m not alone. Billboard Magazine’s new No. 1 on its year-end chart of top-grossing and best-attended venues? It’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Billboard’s Boxscore named Red Rocks Amphitheatre as the top-grossing, most-attended concert venue of any size, anywhere in the world for 2021, which was also the venue’s 80th anniversary. Red Rocks broke its own season record with 233 ticketed paid events, including 177 concerts, 20 yoga/fitness programs and 36 movies in the Film on the Rocks series.

Highlights of Red Rocks’ recent season included The 8 O’Clock Howl, an 80th anniversary celebration; a six-night stand with electronic music artist/producer Zhu; first-time headlining appearances from a number of performers; and record-extending dates from Widespread Panic.
