I saw a segment on the morning news the other day about the skyrocketing number of summer rentals, particularly in the Jersey Shore area. While these houses are typically scooped up in the early part of the year, it’s been busier than normal as people are eager to travel again, are still unsure what restrictions on travel will be lifted by this summer, and have more flexibility with working remotely.

This begs the question, is there really a rental season anymore with so many people working remotely? The segment also addressed noting that shoulder seasons were busier than usual and rentals were longer. I’m sure this trend translates to other popular vacation spots.
