Celebrating its 70^th birthday, SAS brings upgrades to its entire short- and medium-haul fleet with new connectivity options and cabin upgrades.

Now offering the fastest in-flight WiFi in Europe, SAS gives passengers onboard speeds of 12 Mbps and higher, with high-quality, gate-to-gate streaming capabilities. Additionally, crewmembers now use WiFi-enabled iPad Minis to assist passengers throughout the entire flight. The new connectivity debuts on flights in the latter half of next year. Service is free for EuroBonus members and SAS Plus ticket holders on short-haul flights.

The upgrade we implemented on our long-haul aircraft gained a very positive reception and we are now upgrading our short- and medium-haul fleet, which will also include high-speed WiFi with speeds that enable time onboard to be utilized for work or to relax and enjoy a streamed movie or TV series. Cabin upgrades come with more legroom, new seats, extra USB outlets and a unique lighting system. New cabins appear first on the Airbus A320neo and are similar to the cabin design currently available on SAS long-haul routes. By mid-2019, SAS expects the new short- and medium-haul cabins to appear on 100 aircraft.
