The much-anticipated USD4.2 billion resort opens in Cotai. Guestroom options include suites and villas and the spa features 22 treatment rooms, as well as a pool overlooking the eight-acre lake. The promenade boasts more than 50 luxury brands. Dining options include Wing Lei Palace, Wing Lei Bar, SW Steakhouse and a poolside restaurant. Other fine-dining and casual dining restaurants abound. One of the resort’s most eye-catching features is the Performance Lake and fountain, home to more than 1,000 water jets creating multiple musical fountain shows set to Chinese, European and American songs. Sky Cabs travel more than 27 meters above the lake, transporting guests directly into the property. Two floral sculptures, created from 100,000 flowers, greet guests in the lobby atriums, where they move to music. Other impressive touches include fine artwork valued at USD125 million, rivaling that found in London’s Buckingham Palace, and an 18^th-century chandelier valued at USD25 million. “To be the prettiest hotel in the world, frankly, is something that money and good taste can buy.
