Etihad Airways invites passengers on board its long-haul aircraft to tune into the FIFA World Cup during the month-long tournament. The national carrier of the United Arab Emirates is transmitting all 64 games live at 30,000 feet on its state-of-the-art interactive in-flight entertainment system, E-box. The screens, powered by Panasonic technology, are installed in each seat of all three cabins. “The FIFA World Cup is the biggest and most exciting sporting event in the world and I’m delighted that all our guests will be able to watch every match while they fly with us on their long-haul business or holiday flights,” said Peter Baumgartner, COO, Etihad Airways. “I hope that they sit back, relax and enjoy the great football action.” The World Cup kicked off last week and concludes with the final, taking place Sunday, July 13.
