United Airlines recently announced a new hourly shuttle service between Washington, D.C. (DCA) and Newark (EWR). A Bombardier CRJ-550 aircraft with 50 seats primarily serves the route. The aircraft offers two classes, WiFi and plenteous overhead space. The additional service means United now offers the most service of any airline between the two destinations. Service begins March 29.
“Our customers who regularly travel between Washington, D.C., and New York — one of the busiest routes in the country — have told us they value convenient flights and a comfortable ride above all else,” said Sarah Murphy, senior vice president, United Express, United Airlines. “With our new shuttle service aboard the one-of-a-kind CRJ-550, United Airlines is the only carrier to deliver both.”
Flights depart Washington, D.C., starting at 6 a.m. daily, with the last flight of the day departing at 6 p.m. It takes approximately one hour and twenty minutes to travel between the two destinations. Flights depart Newark starting at 6 a.m. daily as well, but run until 8 p.m.
