TripAdvisor released an index revealing the top U.S. tourist sites based on year-over-year search growth on the TripAdvisor website. “From historic city streets to amazing sights from great heights, the Attractions Trend Index has revealed a wide variety of places that have captured the interest of U.S. travelers. Travelers looking to take advantage of the remaining weeks of summer and shoulder season still have plenty of time to book a special trip and explore some of these American attractions growing in popularity,” said Brooke Ferencsik, senior director of communications, TripAdvisor. The top attraction is One World Observatory, with a year-over-year 340-percent increase in search traffic. In second place, with an increase of 118 percent, is Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. The remaining Top 25 attractions announced show closer growth with many hovering around the 100 percent increase mark. In order, the top attractions based on increased search attention include:
